Player Help Center

Choose a topic below. This guide covers offline rounds, practice, online multiplayer, saved private matches, controls, scoring and career tracking. Build v128

Quick start

  1. Select Start New Round from the main menu.
  2. Choose a course, golfer, tee set, round length and opponent.
  3. Use the aim slider and club selector, then click the swing dial three times: start, power and accuracy.
  4. Finish the hole, review the scorecard, then continue to the synchronized next-hole preview.
DistanceThe HUD shows distance to the pin and elevation change. Club yardages are estimates before wind, lie and elevation.
LieTee, fairway, rough, deep rough, sand and water all change the result. Club choice matters more from difficult lies.
WindThe wind indicator shows direction and strength. Aim into crosswinds and allow more club when playing into a headwind.
Course previewThe opening map shows the route, hazards, tee position and organic green shape before every hole.

Swing, clubs and shot shape

The three-click swing

  1. First click starts the meter.
  2. Second click chooses power.
  3. Third click controls accuracy at the snap line.

A late or early third click pushes or pulls the shot. Higher difficulty makes the timing window faster and less forgiving.

Draw, straight and fade

Draw and fade begin slightly away from the target and curve back during flight. They are useful around trees, into crosswinds and when attacking angled greens.

Club selection

Open the club button to choose manually. The game suggests a club from distance, but wind, elevation, lie and intended landing area may require a different choice.

Putting and green reading

The green grid follows the actual generated contour. Moving guide beads indicate the downhill direction and relative speed of the slope.

Aim firstRead the bead movement, set the line, then choose pace. More break requires starting farther uphill.
Pace controls breakA firm putt breaks less but can run farther past. A soft putt accepts more slope near the cup.
GimmiesThe Gimmie button becomes available at close range when the game mode allows it.
Practice greenChoose a starting distance and repeat putts with Renderer V2, the live grid and immediate distance feedback.

Views and controls

SpaceAdvance the swing meter.← / →Adjust aim.↑ / ↓Change club.TToggle Top View zoom.COpen the scorecard.

Camera buttons

Player follows the golfer’s perspective. Green looks back from the target area. Replay repeats the previous shot.

Top, green and profile panels

Top View shows routing, hazards, current position and click-to-measure yardage. Green Detail shows the same contour map and fall-line arrows used in the hole preview, plus the direction of the current approach. Profile View shows elevation from ball to pin. Every panel can be collapsed to create more screen space.

Modes and scoring

Stroke playLowest total number of strokes wins.
Match playWin individual holes. The player winning the most holes wins the match.
SkinsEach hole is worth a skin. Ties carry the skin value forward.
HandicapWhen enabled, strokes are allocated using player handicap and hole stroke index.

The game uses a maximum pickup limit of par plus eight to prevent a single hole from stopping the round.

Online multiplayer

  1. Open Online Clubhouse.
  2. Create a table or join an available room.
  3. Guests may play without registering; accounts are optional.
  4. Both players press Ready on each hole preview before the server releases the next hole.
The server is authoritative for turn order. When the HUD says WAIT, the other player owns the turn. A rejected action triggers an automatic state refresh.
Why is a public table no longer listed?

Inactive public tables disappear from the current Clubhouse list. Paused private rounds are intentionally hidden and are restored through their saved-round card or code.

Do both players need accounts?

No. Guests can create, join, pause and resume matches. Accounts make cross-device identity and career synchronization easier.

Watchfire Tour championships

Open Tournaments from the clubhouse menu to enter single-round weekly events or multi-round championships. A signed-in account receives one official championship entry under fixed course order, tee, difficulty and equipment rules.

  • Practice rounds do not affect the leaderboard.
  • Each official round may be saved and resumed on the same browser.
  • Multi-round scores accumulate across 3, 5 or 10 rounds.
  • The championship completion reward posts after the final required round.
  • Placement prizes post automatically after the deadline.

Saved and private rounds

Offline rounds

Use Menu → Save and Quit. Resume the round from the main menu on the same browser.

Online rounds

Use Menu → Save & Exit for Later. The match is paused, removed from the public list and retained privately.

  • Both players receive one shared round code.
  • Guest players also receive their own private PIN.
  • On the same browser, the saved match appears automatically.
  • On another device, enter the shared code and your own PIN.
  • Both players rejoin the private lobby; the host then presses Resume Round.
Do not share a guest PIN publicly. The shared code identifies the round; the PIN identifies the guest seat.

Practice and career statistics

Driving range

Repeat full swings with Renderer V2. The result card reports carry, total distance, final lie, best drive and average drive.

Practice green

Select a starting distance and repeat putts on the modern rendered green. Tutorial mode explains pace, break and aim.

Career statistics

Career Stats tracks scoring, driving, greens in regulation, putting and course records. Signed-in career data is stored on the server; guest career data is stored in the current browser.

Achievements

Each golfer has 15 awards for scoring milestones, long drives, accuracy, rounds played and visiting all fifteen courses. The full cabinet is available from the main menu, and the active golfer’s top awards appear beside the club controls during play.

🟡 GP Points & Store

Daily visits, completed rounds, scoring, shotmaking, course milestones and new achievements earn GP Points. Spend them in the Golf Pro Store on permanent clubs, gloves, balls, caddie tools, apparel and flight effects. Classic Equipment disables gameplay bonuses; Open Equipment enables them.

Deleting data is permanent. Clear Stats and Delete Golfer both require two warnings and typing DELETE. Deleting a golfer also removes that golfer’s career and achievement progress.
